Document Preparation
The ideal physical document archive is normally organised to keep the contents safe and documents easy to find. This often means that the contents of the archive boxes are either filed in lever-arch files, secured in folders with the individual pages stapled or held together with paper clips or rubber bands.
Prepairing these archives for scanning involves removing all paper clips, staples and folders to enable the individual sheets to be fed through a scanner.
Where this is not possible, the documents would have to be handled individually on a flatbed scanner or camera, thereby increasing the time and costs incurred.
The ideal document specification for scanning consists of single leaves, either single or double sided on 80 - 90gsm paper, free from any staples, post-it notes or paper clips.
We can prepareyour documents for scanning to remove staples, paper clips and other fixings at a competitive rate of £15.00 per hour.
We use of high-speed, state of the art technology scanners to ensure the image and quality of the scanned documents are to the highest possible standards. Our document scanning services also include Image Processing in which image cropping, de-skewing and filtering can be applied to any poor quality or ageing documents to enhance the image quality.
